When four very individual percussionists come together for a joint concert, you can expect something extraordinary. These recordings were made in the Unterbarmer Hauptkirche in Wuppertal on the occasion of a benefit concert (the proceeds from the publication are still donated to the hospice in Wuppertal). A mixture of contemporary classic, experimental percussion and sound painting as well as a good pinch of jazz and joy of playing. Dietrich Rauschtenberger on a rumset (he founded the first free jazz ensemble with Peter Kowald and Brötzmann) and Uwe Fischer Rosier grandmaster on the gongs and professor of percussion at the University of Cologne/Wuppertal, the exceptional avant-gardist Kai Angermann also a teacher and band member in many experimental ensembles mix their music with Ullip's extreme and intuitive talent for improvisation. A listening pleasure for friends of contemporary music
