This track can be considered truly prehistoric.
It is an ostinato that I made from radio sound snippets and radio play sequences paired with guitar and sound recordings of animal noises from the Wuppertal Zoo (lion roars and the like) over 40 years ago.
The whole thing was created on a Revox A77 MK 2 and was internally duplicated as a multitrack recording. And then edited. These recordings had lain dormant in my archive for many years and were rediscovered by me about 10 years ago.
In times when editing on the computer has become almost child's play, this technique seems really old scool today. But in its intensity and specialness, Psycodellic has lost nothing of its already magical esprit.
It doesn't always have to be an expensive studio production to capture moods, atmospheres and vibrations. The recording also marks my beginning in the tape cutting technique, which I have further developed in many later productions.
We are all beginners at some point.

This Tune is the result of collaboration with a good friend in my musical universe.

Stephan_Hendricks is a German musician, music producer, singer, composer and lyricist. Born in Dortmund, he first became known to a wide audience as the frontman of the band "Jelly Planet" before he started as a solo artist. He has released several albums with companies such as Sony Music, Virgin Records and so on. Together with his former band he wrote and composed a title for the Hollywood blockbuster "Igby Goes Down".
