This basically timeless piece was created to match the quality of the time. Inspired by the moment and giving a view of what is to come. There is no way back. Only forward and the present moment. No way back.

After a heavy storm and massive rainfall, the energised air and nature recover from these exertions and release the water of life. These recordings were mostly made in Periana/Guaro, where the water comes directly from a lake that is located in a mountain massif, deep in the earth. I wrote this piece inspired by this. It expresses my love for my adopted home in Andalusia, as well as my great respect for nature and its power that cannot be controlled by human hands. The river of life.
recording Mix and Master by Ullip realised in his Bergtonstudio. Videos for the most part by Eva Aubke, a photographer from Öland, Sweden.
Inspired by the work of Evelyn Glennie and Fred Frith in “Touch the Sound”, this piece was created. It involved an electric guitar being heavily prepared and tuned with kebab skewers and then beaten with Asian chopsticks. You could say that this could basically be the original form of any guitar in rock. Only through the tuning of the strings and the sequence of beats, these swinging sound structures, overflowing with overtones, were created. Recorded in my early days in Spain and the first studio setup from there.
Up and down was another result of my experiments with the Roland MC 303 around 1999. Another recording session with a cassette recorder. It fitted nicely into the overall structure of Affinity and has found its place there
Fine Song was written in 2000 and was recorded as a direct live recording while playing. The original is about 30 minutes long and was realised in an installation with an Akai MPC 2000, Roland MC 303 and an Atari computer. The original was recorded on Dat. The piece is dedicated to my long-time supporter and friend Ernst Martin Walsken. The version used here was made by me many years later (ca 2008) After I uploaded it to my online service Dance all Day a few years later (ca 2012), it became very popular and was included on 7 other releases. A piece of timeless music that was created with the live recording method in mind.
Go that way is the result of a collaboration with Mateo Alvarez (vocals and guitar). The melody and lyrics are also by Mateo, as well as Ullip with his percussion. The recording was rounded off by Paco Pena, a flamenco bassist from Malaga. It was mixed and mastered by Ullip in his studio in Andalusia. The recording was realized by Ben Wyneken.
Go that way.... enjoy
First Contact is the result of the first live musical encounter between Ullip (Percussion Hybrid Set, Eela Soley (Vocals and Looping) and Thomas C. Brueck on keyboards. A world deep in the enchanted forest, inspired by Nordic fairies and mythical creatures.
Mixed and mastered by Ullip in his sound laboratory in Andalusia.
This timeless journey is the departure into a time that has neither an end nor a beginning. This mixture of contemporary sound files, which were recorded live, and the spherical sounds of the synths invite you to come aboard and fly a little.
This Tune is the result of collaboration with a good friend in my musical universe.

TaoTaobeat is a piece from the album Affinity that I released in 2019.
Samples of a Japanese Tao drumming troupe were used as backing. In a competition, this piece came in second among many entries. It was created in Wuppertal in 2012, mixed and mastered years later in my mountain studio in Andalusia. A very intense piece with pure energy of the moment. Another expression of my idea of intuitive music that is not oriented towards the mainstream, but rather breaks new ground.

Blue Moon is a piece from my collaboration with the group Flordelavida. With the wonderful musicians Brigit Reimer (violin) and Pedro Namakua Bley (flutes), I was able to use my Percussions Hybrid Set and, in particular, play my beloved framedrum. It was recorded in 2015 by Ben Wyneken in his studio, Lars Bunse's Laboratorium. I then mixed and mastered it with Ben at Green Flor Studio in Witten. A piece of pure magic and a path into mystical dream worlds. Orient meets shamnic worlds and are clothed in a new face by indigenous drums.
